Every Bowdoin student is assigned a unique identifier known as a Bowdoin ID number. This number is used for various purposes, including:
- Registration: It is required when registering for classes, housing, and other campus services.
- Financial aid: It is used to apply for and receive financial aid.
- Health services: It is required for appointments at the Student Health Center.
- Library services: It is required to check out books and other materials from the library.
- Technology services: It is used to access campus wireless networks and other technology resources.
How to Find Your Bowdoin ID Number
There are several ways to find your Bowdoin ID number:
1. Student Information System (SIS)
- Log in to the SIS using your Bowdoin username and password.
- Click on the “Personal Information” tab.
- Your Bowdoin ID number will be displayed in the “Student ID” field.
2. Email
- Check your Bowdoin email account for messages from the Registrar’s Office.
- The subject line of the email will typically include your Bowdoin ID number.
3. Mail
- You should have received a letter from the Registrar’s Office when you were admitted to Bowdoin.
- Your Bowdoin ID number will be printed on the letter.
4. ID Card
- Your Bowdoin ID card will have your Bowdoin ID number printed on it.
If you have lost your Bowdoin ID card, you can request a replacement at the Card Office.
What if I Don’t Know My Bowdoin ID Number?
If you cannot find your Bowdoin ID number using the methods listed above, you can contact the Registrar’s Office.
