Fort Valley State University (FVSU) is a public, historically black university in Fort Valley, Georgia, approximately 30 miles (48 km) south of Macon. The university is part of the University System of Georgia and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

FVSU’s main campus is located on 1,330 acres (540 ha) in Fort Valley. The campus features more than 50 buildings, including academic buildings, residence halls, and athletic facilities. The university also has a satellite campus in Warner Robins, Georgia.
