Repaying Loans

Students who borrow loans to help pay for college must repay those loans after they graduate. The repayment process can be complex, so it is important to understand the terms of your loans before you borrow them.

The following information is important to know about loan repayment:

  • The interest rate on your loans will determine how much you will pay back in interest.
  • The length of your repayment period will determine how long it will take you to pay back your loans.
  • You can make extra payments on your loans at any time. This will help you pay off your loans faster and save money on interest.
