It has been over 20 years since I have seen my family. I left home when I was 18 years old to join the military. I have been stationed overseas ever since. I have missed so much of my family’s lives. I have missed birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays. I have missed out on seeing my nieces and nephews grow up. I have missed out on so much.

I have tried to stay in touch with my family as much as possible. I call them every week and I write them letters. But it is not the same as being there in person. I miss them so much.
I finally got the opportunity to see my family again last year. I was able to take leave from the military and go home for a few weeks. It was so good to see them again. They had all changed so much, but they were still the same people I remembered.
I spent my time at home catching up with my family. I got to meet my new nieces and nephews. I got to see my parents again. It was so good to be home.
I am so grateful that I was able to see my family again. I know that I will not be able to see them again for a long time. But I will cherish the memories of this visit for the rest of my life.
I am so lucky to have such a wonderful family. I love them all so much.
