Move-In Process
Upon arrival, students will report to the designated residence hall to check in and receive their room assignments. Residence halls will be open for move-in from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on the official arrival days. Students are encouraged to arrive early to avoid any delays.
Orientation Schedule
Orientation is a mandatory program designed to familiarize new students with Grinnell College, its academic programs, and the surrounding community. The following is a tentative schedule of events:

Additional Information
- Housing: All newly enrolled students are required to live on campus during their first year. For more information on housing options and the reservation process, visit the Grinnell College Housing website.
- Dining: Students have access to a variety of dining options on campus, including the Main Dining Room, the Commons, and the Joe Rosenfield ’54 Center. For more information on meal plans and dining hours, visit the Grinnell College Dining Services website.
- Transportation: Grinnell College provides a free shuttle service for students, faculty, and staff. The shuttle operates seven days a week and connects the campus with downtown Grinnell and the surrounding area.
- Student Health Center: The Grinnell College Student Health Center provides a full range of medical and mental health services to students. The health center is located on campus and is open daily.
