Elon University football is a Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) program that represents Elon University in Elon, North Carolina. The Phoenix compete in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) and have won 13 conference championships since joining the league in 2009.

History
The Elon football program was founded in 1923 as a member of the North Carolina Intercollegiate Athletic Association (NCIAA). The Phoenix played their first game on September 29, 1923, against Guilford College. Elon won the game 6-0.
