Valley Forge Military Academy Requirements

- Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Competitive SAT or ACT scores:
- SAT: Minimum composite score of 1100
- ACT: Minimum composite score of 24
- Completion of college preparatory coursework in Math, English, Science, and Social Studies
- Strong academic performance in all subjects
- Must be at least 14 years of age
- Must be in good physical health and able to participate in rigorous physical activity
- Must be able to meet the following physical standards:
- Push-ups: 20
- Sit-ups: 25
- Pull-ups: 5
- Run: 1 mile in 8 minutes
- Must have a strong moral character and ethical values
- Must be able to work well with others and follow instructions
- Must be responsible and accountable for their actions
- Must be able to demonstrate maturity and self-discipline
- Must be able to adhere to military discipline and regulations
- Must be respectful of superiors and follow all orders
- Must be able to maintain a clean and orderly living area
- Must be able to participate in regular inspections and drills
- Complete the online application form.
- Submit official transcripts and test scores.
- Attend an admissions interview.
- Submit a letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, or coach.
- Complete a physical examination.
- Submit a signed waiver of liability.
- Apply early to increase your chances of admission.
- Prepare for the entrance exams by studying and taking practice tests.
- Get involved in extracurricular activities that demonstrate your leadership, responsibility, and teamwork skills.
- Visit the campus and talk to current cadets and faculty.
- Prepare yourself mentally and physically for the rigors of military academy life.
- Tuition: $20,000 per year
- Room and board: $10,000 per year
- Other expenses (books, uniforms, etc.): $2,000 per year
- Valley Forge Military Academy offers a variety of financial aid programs, including grants, scholarships, and loans.
