Priscilla Belle Bandy, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2023, at the age of 95. Born in Clayton, Alabama, on March 15, 1927, to parents John and Mary Belle, Priscilla’s early years were shaped by the values of hard work and resilience.
After graduating from high school, Priscilla pursued her passion for nursing at the Tuskegee Institute. She graduated with honors in 1949 and embarked on a fulfilling career in healthcare.
Nursing Career
Priscilla’s nursing career spanned over four decades, where she dedicated herself to providing compassionate care to countless patients. She worked at several hospitals in Alabama and Georgia, including Tuskegee Veterans Administration Medical Center and East Alabama Medical Center.
Her exceptional skills and dedication earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and patients alike. She was known for her unwavering empathy and unwavering commitment to ensuring the well-being of those under her care.
Family and Community Involvement

Obituary Information
Priscilla Belle Bandy is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Clayton, Alabama, on January 21, 2023, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Clayton Cemetery.
